Volunteering
Would you like to volunteer with the KidSafe Collaborative? Are you looking for a way to give back in your community? There are many ways for you to get involved!
The following is a list of volunteer opportunities available through KidSafe. The staff is also able to create unique tasks to suit a volunteer's personal interests and talents.
Board Members
The KidSafe Collaborative is a non-profit organization run by a dedicated group of community volunteers. We seek a diverse group of individuals with expertise in business/finance, marketing, public relations, and human services. The greatest qualification for potential board members, however, is a shared vision to protect the safety and well-being of the children in our community and to improve how our community responds to child abuse and neglect.
Board Committee Members
If you have a desire to become involved, but aren't ready for a full board commitment, consider contributing your expertise to one of the following board committees: Finance, Communications, Fund Development or Program Development. For more information contact our Director, Sally Borden.
Office Volunteers
Located in Burlington's South End, we offer a safe, convenient, and fun environment to host office volunteer workers. Tasks include: data entry, filing, and mailing throughout the year.
Participate in Fundraising Activities
KidSafe has an active fund raising program with plenty of opportunities for community volunteers. For more information about the major events, please see the descriptions in News and Events
Annual Award Luncheon Planning: Each year in April KidSafe presents Annual Awards for Outstanding service in improving the safety and well-being of children. This is both a inspiring Community event in the field of child protection and an important resource of funds for the organization. Planning for the event begins every fall. The Committee gets organized in September and meets periodically until the event, which is scheduled next year on Tuesday April 14, 2009. If you enjoy planning a big celebration and are interested in working with a great team, please contact Penne Tompkins at 863-9626.
Celebration of Song Children's Music CD
The KidSafe Collaborative presents the 30th Anniversary Edition: A Celebration of Children and Song CD! If you would like to purchase a copy of this wonderful children's music CD donated by Vermont artists for $15, or help sell copies of it, please contact us!
